1). The sadest part was when Betty Ann transferred schools and had a nervous breakdown, because she tried her hardest to be friends with the other girls but they just made fun of her. To eventually it shattered her soul.
2). Yes I would of said just forget about them, ignore them since they didn't want to be your friends and look for different friends. I'm sure there was more friendly people at that school that can be your friends.
3). The moral is probably words can hurt people too. And even though it might not look like you're hurting the victim they are probably to hurt to say anything back like in Betty Ann's she was o nice to say anything.

I like your amswer for question #2 because I never thought of that and I think it is a good answer.
1.I completely agree with you that the nervous breakdown was the saddest part. Getting your soul shattered is about worse than dying. This reminds me of Harry Potter where Dudly gets miserable because a dementor almost sucked his soul, which is worse than death.
2.I also would say forget the people that make fun of you. I would be her friend.
3."Sticks and stones may break bones, but words shatter the soul." That is a very important lesson that words can scar you for life. You also shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Make careful choices in life because the consequences can be horrible.

I agree with your answer for question # 1 because I too think the saddest part was when she had a nervous breakdown and started gettting sick alot, so in conclusion great answer.

Your absoultly correct about some words can hurt people but you just don't know it.
