1) One clue is that when Mr.Owen cleed ben ross to his officebecause the wave was only meant for his class and to last a short period of time. Also when there is going to be a "wave pep rally" for the football and he had no idea, also when the most of the kids in the high school salute each other and he doesnt even know how many kids joined.
2) PG 78: The principle removed his pipe from between his lips and tapped it on the ashtray." I must say it's unusual. Ben are you surethat the students are not falling behind?" I like that sentence because in some movies the character with the pipe did exactly what Mr. Owen did.
3) Why do you think Laurie is not as entusiastic as the other students about the wave?

1. Yeah, the pep rally shouldn't even be happening.
2. Yup that's how you empty a pipe. And also, I liked your sentence because it shows that the principal isn't sure about the wave either.
3.I think Laurie isn't as enthusiastic because she's very self conscious and realizes how bad The Wave can be.
2.) I really like why you said you chose the sentence you chose because it was kind if funny and you involved it with movies which is a good idea.
3.) I don't think Laurie is very enthusistic because her mom does not like the idea of the wave and laurie has taken that in to reason and now she is more causious about it.
2.i like that sentence in a way to because it is in movies alot
3.the reason why i think she isnt so exited is because she knows whats going to happen if it gets to bigand in a way she wants to be a part of it but another side of her is saying that she doesnt want to
2) I agree with everyone in that it's fun to compare books with more exiting things like movies. ^.^ Also, Owens is getting curious and doubtful about The Wave.
3) I think that Laurie sees the wave truly for what it is, and it is communism. Communism is bad, and Laurie doesn't want Mr. Ross to be Adolf Hitler.
