#2Tis by Frank McCourt

Quote #1: When we're not out out in the field we're in large rooms listening how dangerous and sneaky the Koreans are, North Koreans and the Chinese who are even worse.

Significance #1: I think the significance of this quote is that all the generals and corporals are thinking about their own days they were out in the battlefield and maybe giving extra tips how to fight the war. This makes me think if that is how the our real army operates by making fun of the side opposing while America could has Chinese immigrants and maybe Korean immigrants as well.

Character Judgment #1: I think that most of the generals and corporals in the army treat immigrants in the army differently because just since Frank questioned a order they took away his three day pass and made him scrub dishes. To other "American" people they got off with a warning.

Question #1: Do you think think it was right for Frank to join the army? Why?

Quote #2: They seem ordinary though you'd like to lean across to the group at the next table and say, "Did anyone her kill Jews?" Of course we were told in army orientation to keep our mouths shut and treat the Germans as out allies in the war against godless communism, but you'd like to ask out of pure curiosity or to see the looks on their faces.

Significance #2: I wonder why Germany would be an ally to the U.S when they lost to the U.S in WWII, I guess they are scared of the U.S army or they just want to redeem themselves. Anyway I think I would actually have the same curiosity of Frank because it was a big war and the Germans are infamous for that.

Character Judgment #2: I think it was rude for Frank to ask just straight to their face because it was probably a big deal for them also so I would work that line into a conversation with them, instead of just asking. I also think its mean at the orientation that the army says to pretend like they are our allies because maybe U.S soldiers might not aide the German soldiers in battle.

Question #2: Do you think Frank is actually going to go to battle in Korea?

Quote #1: If I was being told this about the Koreans and Chineese I don't think this would help me in war. This would just get me more scared and lose morale for war.

Question #1: It was a horrible idea for Frank to join the army. One because he gets treated like crap, a good example was when Sneed didn't give a crap about his 3 day pass for his birthday.

Quote #2: Your quote also made me wondered about the Germans and United States being allies. Also I don't think Frank was being rude I think he was just curious.

Question #2: I don't think Frank is going to battle in Korea because I think all those threats to Frank that he is going to Korea are just bluffs.

Quote #1: I think that this quote shows what action there is in the training camp. It shows that there is little to do but train in the field and go to a conference that doesn't really help you in the battle. I guess that was a time when war was all talk.

Question #1: I think it was wrong for the army to draft an immigrant, right off the into the army right when they get into America, and when they barely have any friends. Frank should have complained to the democratic party.

Quote #2: This quote shows that people are still feeling the pain of the Holocaust. It shows that people don't want to trust their lives to the Germans. Frankly I would unless they were part of the Natzy party.

Question #2: I don't think that Frank will go to Korea at all with all the KP he had he didn't have much time for weapons training. He probably almost did but I guess he didn't list it in the book.

Quote #1: This quote is good because it is showing how they talk about other countries. I think that they are giving the corporals advice on how to fight better.

Question #1:I dont think that Frank had a choice because he was drafted and I dont think you can quit. If he had a choice I think he should have chosen to stay out of the army.

Quote #2:I like that quote because it is showing how Frank is not afraid of the German and he just wants to know something. I also wonder why Germany is allies with America because they were enimies in WWII.

Question #2: I dont think that Frank will go to Korea because he is not ready for kombat. I think he will just Go back to America.

Quote #1: I think that this quote means that since all the generals know how to do battle stuff then maybe they just tell them what to do.

Question #1: Yeah I think that it was right for him to join the Army because he learns more and gets tougher.

Quote #2: I think that the Germans were allies to U.S because maybe they hated the Koreans too, maybe.

Question #2: I think that he is thinking of going but I do not think that he will go to actually fight int the war.
