Immigrant Homework
The definition of immigrant is a person who comes to a country where they weren’t born and settle down there or a plant or animal that migrates to area previously unknown. Well my mom was is an immigrant from San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí which is a city from Mexico, but my dad is from Nogales, Arizona.
I guess some of my friends parents are immigrants but I don’t my friends are immigrants, two of my aunts and one uncle from my mom’s side are immigrants but none of my cousins or sibling are immigrants.
I think there is a lot of immigrants in the U.S is because its one of the best countries in the world and one with a lot of protection, and like some books I’ve read it calls the U.S the land of opportunities and that is true because a lot of people can get good supporting jobs here and most education in the U.S is free. I thinks its also because of the democracy of this country because in this country if you are 18 years old you can vote and is some countries you don’t have the right to do that. In this country every citizen has equal rights and if they fit under the jurisdiction so the U.S offers many opportunities to immigrants and that’s why I think many people come here to live.
Well there would be a lot of effects of immigration in San Diego because San Diego is right next to the border of Mexico. There is a lot of effects like in Chicano the murals there since they are painted all over the bottom of the bridge. Not only Mexican affected San Diego also Asian immigrants since San Diego is next to the pacific ocean. The U.S might be the most diverse country with all immigrants that immigrated here and they helped our country be more equal to every citizen.
