Journal #7 Perspective of Miss Muadie

I was just doing my usual pursuits, getting up and sitting on the porch thinking, and that day specifically I had a lot to think about. The trial would begin in a short amount of time, a couple minutes later Jem, Scout and Dill came to my house subsequent after Atticus had left for town. They asked me if I was going to go to see the trial at the courthouse. I didn't want to go because I didn't want to see that poor negro get thrown back to jail because I already knew what the verdict was and Atticus new it was also improbable to win that wretched case.I told the kids no because I have already seen my fair share of courthouse cases similar to this one. So that day
I knew it was going to end in disappointment for the colored folks and to Dill, Scout, Jem, Atticus and Calpurnia. I didn't want to think about the case that much so I started making cakes to comfort Dill, Scout, and Jem who are going to face the inevitable at the courthouse. A couple hour later I heard some noise and it was Calpurnia searching for the kids crazily. I could of told her straight on that the kids were at the trial but I knew it was one of those things that maybe necessary to see what their father has to deal with. She asked around and no one had seen him and Miss Rachel scared that Dill had also disappeared. Cal went straight for the courthouse to give a note to Atticus from Alexandra. I could already tell that those kids were in a bad predicament. I could imagine those little kids watching Calpurnia making her way though the aisle and some one might point them out to Atticus and I was right.
I saw those kids get home and Calpurnia was scolding Jem, they had supper and went racing back to the courthouse to hear the verdict. I wonder how Alexandra tends to handle with those kids because they already made her worry for them and not only that but they went back to the trial. Around an hour and a half later the kids came back home. Jem was crying and Scout was disappointed. They faced the truth of this world. i called them over I had 3 cakes one big one and 2 small ones. The two small ones were for Scout and Dill and for Jem he got a slice from the big cake. I tried to reason with Jem on why judge Taylor gave Attius the case and how Atticus never once tried not to help Tom Robinson. The next day I heard Stephanie telling Jem that his father was spat in the face by Bob Ewell and he threaten to kill him. Alexandra stood embarrassed at the door for not being able to stop Stephanie. The kids were fretting about Atticus, but he soon relieved the kids. one day Alexandra invited me and the other ladies of this Town for tea and deserts at the Finch house. scout got dragged in by Alexandra and i already knew Scout wouldn't really fit in because she speaks her mind. she sat near me for comfort and some of the things she said had gotten the other ladies to laugh but she wasn't trying to make them laugh. Ms. Merriweather talked about Toma and i could tell that would upset Scout i tried to hold her from making rude comments and it sort of worked. I remeinded her to be a lady like her Aunt and to my surprise it worked.

I like how you spoke from Ms. Maudies mind and how she would speak. Although I thought she made the cakes in the morning and not the day they were at the trial. I also like how you described the entire section and not just one or two chapters.
